Western Mongolia & Golden Eagle festival tour itinerary:
Whenever landed your international flight we will meet you at the airport. We will transfer to the Hotel. On that time meal does not include.
Day 1 – Arrive in Ulaanbaatar
Whenever landed your local flight, we will meet at the airport. After we will visit to Local museum. The museum has got 3 floors. Next, we will visit to local souvenir shops and Black market named Bazar. Then, we will visit to Ulgii Nairamdal Mountain. It is the highest monument which is located top of the Nairamdal Mountain. We will see the Ulgii evening views.
Day 2 – Flight to Ulgii province
After breakfast, we will drive to Sagsai village to see the eagle festival. There are lots of Eagle hunters are with their Golden eagles. They all wear traditional clothes made by fox fur skin, wolf skin or hare skin etc. there is great opportunity to take photos.
Day 3 to Day 4 – Full day eagle festival
After breakfast we will drive to Altai Tavan bogd national park. We will see the high Mountains with eternal snowcapped Mountains. There are Tuvan family who are minor ethnic group. We will visit their home and taste Airag fermented mare milk, we will taste Nermel traditional Mongolian vodka produced by milk.
Day 5 – Altai Tavan Bogd national park
Early morning, after breakfast, we will ride horse and go to Potanin Glaciers. We will have included lunch pure water and hot tea or coffee. It is 17 km and takes 2 hours. We will see the Alexander and Grant Glaciers. Potanin Glacier is the biggest one 22 km long 9 km wide. We will have lunch beside the Potanin glacier. If you are lucky you can see the fox, grey wolf and Altai marmots. We will back to White River
and have dinner and stay in a tent.
Day 6 – Potanin glacier
After breakfast, we will drive to Khoton and Khurgan lakes. The semi steppes are looks very beautiful. The Altai snowcapped mountains are located between Mongolian and Chinese border. It covered by Siberian larches with pure twin lakes. Local people called Mongolian Switzerland.
Day 7 – Khoton & Khurgan lakes
After breakfast, we will drive back to Ulgii. The lunch will prepare by cook. Have dinner and stay in a tourist ger camp.
Day 8 – Drive back to Ulgii town
Early morning, we will transfer to the local airport. See you next your destination.
Day 9 – Flight back to Ulaanbaatar
It is time for farewell. Thanks for choosing our team. Your city driver will transfer to the international airport. Have a trip to your next destination!

- ROAD: paved road is 40% and earth road is 60%. During the trip, approximately it takes 2-6 hours, driving (80-300km) from one next destination depending on road and weather condition on each driving days. But it is not nonstop drive! We can short stop frequently everywhere along the road for photographs, toilets, stretch and meet with local nomads.
- TRANSPORT: we will use below marked car types for your trip in Mongolia based on trip level, comfort road condition and remoteness. These cars are with experienced drivers and really suited their selected route.

Each Ger has 2 beds and furnished with a table, chairs and a wood stove. Modern toilet and hot shower facilities is separate house. The restaurant mostly service with Western and Mongolian meals. Most visitors prefer to stay in Ger, which provide an authentic taste of Mongolian culture and adventure their most enjoyable experience in Mongolia. - FOOD: traditionally Mongolians eat meat, dairy products and vegetables such as onions, garlic, potatoes, carrots, cabbages and turnips. Nomads in countryside drink milk tea, fermented mare milk and an alcohol made of fermented and distilled cow milk.
